We will ski Saturday the 17th-Tuesday the 20th.  Pick up will be at GMVS Tuesday night at 6:30pm.

The cost of this camp is $1000 per athlete. Transportation, food, lodging, and lift ticket are included.  Contact Sally Utter at with and questions.

GMVS Power Term  •  December 2-7, 2018

GMVS Power Term is a five day program designed to jumpstart the young ski racer’s season.  It is open to U.S. Ski and Snowboard and Alpine Canada registered U12 and U14 racers.

Athletics: Participating athletes will see GMVS’ renowned athletic program first hand.  They will train with GMVS coaches and athletes on the famed Kelly Brush Race Arena, as well as dryland training in the Racing Performance Center.

On a typical day, Power Term athletes spend 3.5-6 hours training under the direction of GMVS coaches, incorporating directed free skiing, drills, and gate training.

Each afternoon Power Term athletes participate in a regeneration session in the Race Performance Center. Sessions focus on improving the athlete’s agility, coordination, balance, stamina, and aerobic fitness. Regeneration sessions last between 1 to 2 hours in length and largely depend on the day’s on-snow training and desired objective.

Academics: At Power Term, athletics and academics are in balance. When athletes are not participating in our athletic activities, designated academic blocks allow Power Term athletes to complete lesson plans and homework set up by their home school. GMVS faculty are present to monitor Power Term athletes during academic blocks and address any questions they may have regarding their homework

Room and Board: Campers will lodge with a GMVS staff member at the White Horse Inn at the base of Mount Ellen, GMVS’s primary training site. Breakfast will be served at the Inn, lunch and dinner will be at GMVS
